Additionally, when the Mr-hsp40- and Mr-hsp90-silenced prawns were injected with a pathogenic bacterium (A. hydrophila), the prawns in these 2 groups were more seriously sensitive to bacterial infection than those in the GFP control (no bacterium) and GFP groups, since they reached 100% mortality at 12 h after injection with pathogenic bacteria, while the GFP control and GFP prawns showed mortality of 16.67% and 53.33% respectively, at 96 h.
