The results generated by our affinities studies show the affinity of flavones (apigenin and luteolin) and flavonols (quercetin, 3′-methylquercetin and kaempferol) by arachinodate-lypoxygenases (LOX), a group of enzymes implicated in the synthesis of eicosanoids, such as leukotriens (LTs), which are molecules with an essential role in cell signaling, being also implicated in inflammation and disorders, such as asthma, skin diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, allergic rhinitis, inflammatory bowel, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and osteoporosis [89,90,91,92,93]. The gene discussed is LOX; the disease is allergic rhinitis.
