G-CSF is mainly secreted by monocytes [10,11], but it is also expressed in other types of cells, including fibroblasts [12], endothelial cells [13], mesothelial cells [14,15], stromal cells [13], astrocytes [16], nerve cells [17,18], and even tumor cells [19], suggesting that G-CSF may have different regulatory effects on various cells.
