One region on chromosome 5 (982,252–2,132,442 bp), harboring the TERT and CLPTM1L genes, showed significant local genetic correlation across six pairs of cancers, including ER-negative breast, colorectal, glioma, lung, melanoma, pancreatic, and prostate cancer (Figure 2). The gene discussed is CLPTM1L; the disease is prostate carcinoma.
