Our study also showed that ITGA5, ITGB2, and ITGB5 may mediate the migration of leukocytes from blood vessels to skin tissue by interacting with chemokines (CXCL12, CCL2) and vascular endothelial cell adhesion molecules (JAM3/CDH5/ICAM 1/PECM1) and participate in the immune inflammatory process of SSc. This evidence concerns the gene CDH5 and systemic sclerosis.
