Previous studies have demonstrated that ENO1 played some significant role in protecting cells against adverse effects such as cancers (Tsai et al., 2010; Song et al., 2014; Fu et al., 2015; Yin et al., 2018), stresses (Aaronson et al., 1995; Lu et al., 2014), and other pathophysiological processes (Chen et al., 2014). This evidence concerns the gene ENO1 and cancer.
