GPT and depressive disorder: IFN-associated side effects, which were mild and reversible, included flu-like syndrome associated with fever, myalgia, and headache (at the initiation phase of the treatment) (71.4%; n = 10), mild elevation of serum liver enzymes (ALT and/or AST, 28.6%; n = 4), hair loss (28.6%; n = 4), skin disorders (erythema at injection site, reddish rash; 28.6%; n = 4), minor leukopenia (14.3%; n = 2), dryness of mouth (14.3%; n = 2), and mild depression (14.3%; n = 2).
