To further validate the action of Fraction B on pancreatic cancer stemness, we first examined the expression of pancreatic cancer stem cell markers, including CD44, CD133 and Met in Panc-1 tumor tissues treated with Fraction B. As shown in Figure 5A, Fraction B (6 mg/kg) treatment indeed significantly inhibited CD44 expression in Panc-1 tumor tissues (p < 0.05). This evidence concerns the gene PROM1 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
