Our analysis of neonatal cochlear ducts has also demonstrated that these putative GBS-containing regions in the p27kip1 promoter are significantly enriched by anti-GATA3 antibody ChIP-PCR, arguing for the direct role of GATA3 in regulating p27kip1 expression to maintain the quiescent state of cochlear SCs. The gene discussed is CDKN1B; the disease is Guillain-Barre syndrome.
