Furthermore, we analyzed the TCGA dataset and found that KLF5 expression was higher in pancreatic cancer samples than that in normal samples (p = 0.0017, Student’s t-test) (Fig. 6e), and high expression of KLF5 was associated with poor prognosis of patients with pancreatic cancer (p = 0.0145, log-rank test) (Fig. 6f). Here, KLF5 is linked to familial pancreatic carcinoma.
