The driver mutations in cancer-related genes (namely PIK3CA and CTNNB1) identified in the malignant proliferation are also recognizable, even if with a lower VAF, in the endometriotic lesion, supporting the progression of the neoplastic clone from endometriosis cells that, in turn, showed morphological signs of dysplastic transformation. The gene discussed is CTNNB1; the disease is endometriosis.
