Sorafenib (Figure 1) is an oral multikinase inhibitor targeting intracellular serine/threonine kinases (C-Raf, B-Raf, and B-Raf(V600E)) and receptor tyrosine kinases (mainly VEGFR-2 and PDGFR-β) which is currently approved for the second-line treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC), hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), and radioactive iodine resistant differentiated advanced thyroid carcinoma (DTC)12,.13 This evidence concerns the gene NTRK1 and acute myeloid leukemia.
