Univariate analysis revealed that a right-colon tumor, larger tumor size, higher CEA levels, neoadjuvant treatment, adjuvant treatment, stage III and stage IV tumor, palliative resection, mucinous carcinoma, poor differentiation, perineural invasion, extranodal tumor deposit, and KRAS mutations in exon 2 or 3 were associated with shorter OS. Here, CEACAM5 is linked to colonic neoplasm.
