Consistent with this finding, complement C3 staining were also dramatically reduced in B/Atg7–/– mice when compared with wild type mice (glomerulonephritis deposition score was 2.2 ± 0.6 versus 0.7± 0.3) (Figure 3D), suggesting decreased complement activation in the absence of autophagy in B cells. This evidence concerns the gene ATG7 and glomerulonephritis.
