The most recent report from The Schizophrenia Working Group of the Psychiatric Genomics Consortium et al. (2020) identified 130 genes with common non-coding variation associated with schizophrenia, including seven protein kinases/phosphatases (AKT3, MOB4, DCLK3, PTPRK, PAK6, FHIT, and MAPK3), a proteasome subunit (PSMA4), and a ubiquitin ligase (PJA1) (The Schizophrenia Working Group of the Psychiatric Genomics Consortium et al., 2020). This evidence concerns the gene MAPK3 and schizophrenia.
