Many different forms of enteropathy are now described, including immunologically-mediated (coeliac disease, autoimmune, graft-versus-host disease, transplantation rejection enteropathy), infective enteropathies, drug-induced enteropathy (checkpoint inhibitor enteropathy), and those due to disturbed prostaglandin action (SLCO2A1 and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug enteropathies). This evidence concerns the gene SLCO2A1 and graft versus host disease.
