The JQ1, a bromodomain and extra-terminal domain (BET) domain inhibitor, has been shown to downregulate the expression of well-known oncogenes such as the MYC proto-oncogene, bHLH transcription factor (MYC) and B-cell lymphoma 2 (BLC2) by blocking bromodomain-containing protein 4 (BRD4) binding at associated SE regions in different cancers [62, 63]. This evidence concerns the gene MYC and cancer.
