EDEM2 and oculocutaneous albinism: Using interaction proteomics, here, we have characterized the EDEM2-associated proteins in melanoma cells and defined novel potential endogenous EDEM2 candidate substrates in a system-wide functional proteomics workflow and found that the degradation of a glycosylated misfolded tyrosinase mutant observed in some melanomas and oculocutaneous albinism patients (17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23) is EDEM2 dependent.
