A study found that XAV939, a ponent tankyrase inhibitor that targets Wnt/β-catenin signalling, in combination with EGFR-TKIs can strongly inhibit β-catenin signalling and decrease the phosphorylation of EGFR compared with the effects of EGFR-TKIs alone in NSCLC cells harbouring a mutation in codon 790 (T790M) [38]. This evidence concerns the gene TNKS and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
