In order to study the regulation of the YTHDC2 gene in cancer cell proliferation, siRNA (siYTHDC2) or expression plasmid vector (pYTHDC2) was transfected into normal human lung BEAS-2B cells, as well as in the lung cancer cell line H1299 to knockdown or overexpress YTHDC2. Data from flow cytometry analysis showed that knocking down YTHDC2 promoted cell cycle progression by accelerating the progression of cells from the G1 to the S phase in BEAS-2B and H1299 cells (Figure 3A, C). The gene discussed is YTHDC2; the disease is cancer.
