S100A7 and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma: Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway and gene ontology enrichment analysis of the transcriptome data of S100A7‐overexpressed cells and the TCGA ESCC cohort showed that genes that were differentially expressed between tumor cells with high and low S100A7 expression were enriched with functions related to tumor development and progression (Figures 3F and S1), which suggested that S100A7 plays a role in the activation of ESCC‐related signal pathways.
