DGCR5 was upregulated in lung adenocarcinoma tissues and promoted cancer progression through inhibiting miR-22-3p (Dong et al., 2018), and the same team concluded that DGCR5 contributed to the cancer stem cell–like properties in non-small cell lung cancer through interacting with miR-330-5p/CD44 (Wang R. et al., 2018). Here, CD44 is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
