Sabatasso et al. (2018) confirmed that JunB is an early, sensitive marker for myocardial ischemia. Schmidt et al. (2007) indicated that JunB is a target gene of hypoxia-induced signaling via NF-kappaB. Bcl3 is a proto-oncogene that belongs to the IκB family, and it has been reported that BCL3 can exert an anti-apoptotic effect. Lee et al. (2015) revealed that Bcl3 was upregulated under hypoxic conditions, resulting in the prevention of apoptosis induced by ischemic stress both in vitro and in vivo. Here, BCL3 is linked to myocardial ischemia.
