It was observed that a large number of analyzes have attempted to detect the association between rs3218536 polymorphism of XRCC2 gene and different human cancers particularly, ovarian (Auranen et al., 2005), colorectal (Curtin et al., 2009), thyroid (García-Quispes et al., 2011), endometrial (Han et al., 2004a), pancreatic (Jiao et al., 2007), lung (Zienolddiny et al., 2006), upper aerodigestive tract (UADT) (Benhamou et al., 2004), brain (He et al., 2014b), and skin (Han et al., 2004b) cancer in different populations. This evidence concerns the gene XRCC2 and cancer.
