We have recently demonstrated in breast cancer-derived cells that ETV7 expression can be induced by DNA-damaging chemotherapy, and elevated ETV7 levels has been associated with reduced sensitivity to Doxorubicin treatment, a mechanism that involve ETV7-mediated direct repression of DNAJC15, resulting in the increase in ABCB1 expression levels [36]. This evidence concerns the gene ABCB1 and breast cancer.
