IDO1 and coronary artery disorder: The levels of baseline IDO activity and kynurenine-levels in patients with significant CAD presenting with single-, double-, or triple-vessel involvement were significantly higher than in individuals without significant CAD (0.16, 0.13, and 0.17 vs. 0.03, respectively; p = 0.003; and, 5.24, 4.58, and 5.89 vs. 2.74 μM/g, respectively; p = 0.011) (Fig. 1A), and a similar significant increase in baseline hs-TnT levels was also observed (12.86, 12.22, and 18.27 vs. 10.89 mg/dL, respectively; p < 0.001) (Fig. 1B).
