Furthermore, downregulated FTO expression and upregulated YTHDF1 expression in small pulmonary arteries of MCT-induced PAH rats may play a leading role in mRNA m6A and involve in development of PAH through modulating inflammation, glycolysis, TGF-β family receptor members, ECM-receptor interaction and PDGF signal pathway. This evidence concerns the gene YTHDF1 and pulmonary arterial hypertension.
