Numerous studies have found that DCLK1 is upregulated and acts as an oncogene in a range of cancers including pancreatic, colorectal, gastric, bladder, and breast cancer (Li and Bellows, 2013; Meng et al., 2013; Qu et al., 2015; Liu et al., 2016; Fan et al., 2017; Kadletz et al., 2017; Jiang et al., 2018; Zhang et al., 2017). This evidence concerns the gene DCLK1 and cancer.
