First, as shown in Figure S8A, HDAC9 and HDAC7 have heterozygous amplifications in most of cancers, and HDAC8, HDAC6, HDAC4, HDAC1, HDAC2, HDAC10, and HDAC11 have apparently heterozygous mutations in the majority of cancers as well. The gene discussed is HDAC8; the disease is cancer.
