CXCL5 and cardiac hypertrophy: Many of the genes regulated by EAP in the presence of Stat5 (Stat5fl/fl+I/R group vs. the Stat5fl/fl+EA+I/R group), such as Fosb, Fos, cxcl1, Cxcl5, Egr1, Egr2, Nr4a3, Socs3, Ccn5, Myl4, Zhx2, Dkk3, and Dynll1, have been reported to play a protective role against myocardial I/R injury, cardiac hypertrophy, or hypoxic insult (47–64).
