Studies have shown that C1GALT1 is abnormally expressed in a variety of malignant tumors, such as gastric cancer (Lee et al., 2020), head and neck cancer (Lin et al., 2018), pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (Kuo et al., 2021), laryngeal carcinoma (Dong et al., 2018b), ovarian cancer (Chou et al., 2017), and hepatocellular carcinoma (Wu et al., 2013).
