On the one hand, FOXO1 can be served as a tumor suppressor to activate several protective miRNAs (e.g. miR-125b-5p and miR-99a-5p, miR-101-3p) to further inhibit its upstream carcinogenic genes (e.g. PIK3C2B, PIK3R3, SRC, EFNA4, MRAS, RASL1, RASGRF2, MAPK11, MAPK12, MMP14) of FOXO1 to promote a good prognosis for HCC patients (Figures 6, S8 and Tables S3, S4). This evidence concerns the gene FOXO1 and neoplasm.
