Fatty liver disease is a SREBF1 gene-related disease; and the mTOR signaling pathway is a pathway associated with SREBF1. Annotation of this gene includes the DNA and chromatin binding transcription factor activity, and it regulates the rate of transcription of the LDL receptor gene, fatty acid, and the cholesterol synthesis pathway to a lesser extent (Stachowiak et al., 2013). Here, SREBF1 is linked to fatty liver disease.
