To evaluate the effect of the vimentin-binding compound R491, human cancer cells from non-small cell lung cancer A549, pancreatic cancer PANC-1, glioma U87, hepatoma HUH7, and gastric cancer AGS were cultured in the presence of the solvent DMSO or the compound R491 at different concentrations for different periods of time, morphological changes were examined under microscope.
