Consequently, a possible prognostic impact of cytoplasmic HMGA2 staining intensity should be analyzed in other tumor entities with a better prognosis (for instance, early stage colorectal carcinoma) to fully evaluate the value of HMGA2 staining as a biomarker for better stratification of cancer patients, e.g., for adjuvant therapy.
