Overall, these results indicate that MYO1F plays a critical role in innate antifungal immunity by regulating Syk/CARD9 “membrane to cytoplasm trafficking,” that the deacetylase Sirt2 is a good therapeutic target for antifungal drug development, and that inhibitors of Sirt2 may be developed as potential drugs for the treatment of fungal infection. The gene discussed is MYO1F; the disease is fungal infectious disease.
