ACE2 and infection: Figure 5B shows the quantification of the infection observed in Figure 5A. Taken together, the data show that CSC treatment activated AhR signaling in GECs, and thereby increased expression of the SARS-CoV-2 receptor ACE2. Increased levels of ACE2 favored SARS-CoV-2 pseudovirus infection in an AhR-signaling dependent manner (Figure 6).
