We evaluated the potential of AKR1B1 and AKR1B10 as tissue biomarkers of endometrial cancer by assessing the immunohistochemical levels of AKR1B1 and AKR1B10 in tissue paraffin sections from 101 well-characterized patients with endometrioid endometrial cancer and 12 patients with serous endometrial cancer. Here, AKR1B1 is linked to endometrial cancer.
