Targets of mutant splicing factor proteins implicated in MDS pathogenesis include ERFE, BRD9, MAP3K7, PDS5A, and NF1 for mutated SF3B1, and EZH2, CDK10, and CASP8 for mutated SRSF2 [26,28]. This evidence concerns the gene SF3B1 and myelodysplastic syndrome.
