METTL3, classified as writers, inhibits SOX2 degradation for conducting the progression of colorectal carcinoma in an m6A-IGF2BP2–dependent manner (Li et al., 2019) and was linked with poor prognosis of gastric cancer due to METTL3-mediated HDGF of methylation facilitating cancer progression (Wang Q. et al., 2020).
