STAT3 and Miyoshi myopathy: miR‐21 has been shown to suppress protein inhibitor of activated STAT3 (PIAS3), enhance the STAT3‐mediated receptor activator of nuclear factor‐kappa B ligand (RANKL) gene activation, and mediate RANKL‐induced osteoclastogenesis that ultimately contributes to the formation of bone lesions in MM (Pitari et al., 2015).
