AKT1 and breast cancer: A recent work by Marcial-Medina et al. demonstrated that OA acting on its two main receptors (FFAR1 and FFAR4) promoted migration of MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7 breast cancer cell lines via a mechanism that involves the recruitment of AKT and PI3K, with the participation of the epidermal growth factor receptor and the nuclear activation of NFkB49.
