A recent work by Marcial-Medina et al. demonstrated that OA acting on its two main receptors (FFAR1 and FFAR4) promoted migration of MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7 breast cancer cell lines via a mechanism that involves the recruitment of AKT and PI3K, with the participation of the epidermal growth factor receptor and the nuclear activation of NFkB49. This evidence concerns the gene FFAR1 and breast carcinoma.
