A correlation of CD24 to stemness markers CD44, CD133 (PROM1), and CD184 (CXCR4) has been demonstrated in various tumor types with breast cancer stem cells being CD24‐ and CD44+, while pancreatic, cholangiocarcinoma, colorectal, gastric, and multiple myeloma cancer stem cell‐like cells are CD24+/CD44+ [64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71]. This evidence concerns the gene CD24 and neoplasm.
