CCND1 and neoplasm: Similarly, HNRNPK has been reported to be multifunctional protein overexpressed in several human cancers, regulating both oncogenic and tumor-suppressive pathways through a bevy of chromatin-, DNA-, RNA-, and protein-mediated activation (Gallardo et al., 2016), such as inhibiting tumor growth through p53/p21/CCND1 axis in vivo (Huang et al., 2017), and promotes gastric tumorigenesis through regulating CD44E AS (Peng et al., 2019).
