Our findings align well with recent in vivo studies showing associations between Tau-PET uptake and MTL structural measures in amyloid-β negative subjects ([12, 37] and provides support for the notion that PART may be underlying at least some Suspected non-Alzheimer’s pathophysiology (SNAP) cases [25, 26], a group of subjects who show AD-like neurodegeneration in the absence of amyloid-β.
