In our study, PRB2 (proline-rich protein subfamily 2) was significantly downregulated in poorly-controlled patients with T1D (fold change = −1.3 in G1–C, fold change = −1.6 in G1–G2) while PRR4 (proline-rich protein 4) was upregulated in these comparisons (fold change = 1.5 and 1.8 respectively). Here, PRB2 is linked to type 1 diabetes mellitus.
