Inflammatory biomarkers, including high-sensitivity CRP (median [IQR], 34.6 [6.68-81.73] vs. 18.0 [2.15-55.0] mg/L; p = 0.0045) and globulin (median [IQR], 27.9 [25.8-32.5] vs. 26.4 [23.7-29.7] g/L; p < 0.0001) were significantly higher in patients with diabetes. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and diabetes mellitus.
