TP53 mutations remained significantly associated with improved response to anthracyclines (OR = 3.70; 95%CI = 1.20–11.97; p = 0.02) in a complete multivariate model including age, gender, sarcoma type (small round cell tumors, osteosarcomas, chondrosarcomas versus STS), complex genomics, grade, chemotherapy regimen, and setting, as well as in a reduced model including only those factors significant in univariate analysis, namely age, chemotherapy regimen, genomic classification, and TP53 status (OR = 3.24; 95%CI = 1.30–8.45; p = 0.01). This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and telomere syndrome.
