Serum levels of carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA 19-9) is clinically useful as a biomarker of CCA [63], and a previous study has demonstrated that the combination of serum levels of CA 19-9 and dickkopf-related protein 1 (DKK-1) could provide better diagnostic and prognostic performance compared to CA 19-9 alone in iCCA patients [68]. The gene discussed is DKK1; the disease is infantile convulsions and choreoathetosis.
