Twenty-nine consecutive patients with COVID-19 PCR positivity, pneumonia, and a D-dimer plasma level above 1 microgram/mL and albumin serum levels < 3.5 g/dL were divided into two groups: 10 patients were treated with albumin infusions for 7 days, while 19 patients served as controls. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and susceptibility to pneumonia measurement.
